3.Application scope and Usage
γ-Decalactone (as a food additive, FEMA 2360) is mainly used to blend flavors such as cream, peach, and coconut. It is widely applied in dairy products (ice cream, yogurt), beverages (milk tea, fruit drinks), baked goods (cakes, cookies), and candies (toffees, chocolates), imparting rich milk aroma and fruit aroma.
4.Package and Storage
γ-Decyl lactone is packaged in 25kg aluminum drums or brown glass bottles (protected by nitrogen). It is lined with food-grade PE film. It should be stored in a cool, dark place (< 25℃), and sealed tightly to prevent oxidation. The shelf life is 24 months. After opening, it is recommended to be used within 12 months.
