1.Product Property

Acetic acid is commonly known as vinegar acid. It gets its name because it is the main component of vinegar. It is one of the most important fatty acids. Pure acetic acid is a colorless liquid with a pungent smell. It dissolves in water, ethanol, glycerol, ether, and carbon tetrachloride; it does not dissolve in dichlorosulfide. When pure acetic acid is cooled at low temperatures, it solidifies into an ice-like form, which is commonly known as glacial acetic acid.

3.Application scope and Usage

It is mainly used for preparing acetic anhydride, vinyl acetate, acetic esters, metal acetates, chloroacetic acid, cellulose acetate, etc. It is used in the production of ethyl acetate, food flavorings, wine flavorings, etc., and is used as an analytical reagent, solvent and cleaning agent.

 

4.Package and Storage

Acetic acid is sealed in 30kg HDPE plastic drums or IBC ton containers. For food-grade products, it should be lined with anti-corrosion coatings. Store in a cool and ventilated place (<30℃), away from metals and oxidants, and avoid direct sunlight. Highly corrosive. Protective equipment must be worn during handling. Shelf life: 24 months.
