1.Product Property

GML is a white to off-white, waxy flake or powder with a faint coconut odor. It is practically insoluble in water, freely soluble in hot ethanol, ether and chloroform, and dispersible in warm oils. Its melting point lies between 56 °C and 62 °C, and it exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, fungi and enveloped viruses while remaining non-toxic and biodegradable under normal use conditions.

2.Technical Norm

3.Application Scope and Usage

GML is widely applied in food processing as an emulsifier for margarine, chocolate and whipped toppings, and as a preservative in bakery and meat products. In cosmetics it functions as a co-emulsifier, moisturizer and mild bacteriostat for creams, lotions and lipsticks. Textile and leather industries use it as a lubricant and softener during fiber finishing. Typical dosage ranges from 0.1 % to 1.0 % by weight, added under gentle heating (50–60 °C) to ensure uniform dispersion.

4.Package and Storage

GML is packed in 25 kg net multi-layer kraft bags with inner PE liner, or in 200 kg net open-mouth steel drums with food-grade coating. Small lots of 1 kg or 5 kg food-grade plastic jars are available upon request. Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry warehouse at 15–25 °C, away from direct sunlight, heat, oxidizers and sources of ignition. Keep bags upright on pallets; avoid stacking more than two pallets high. Shelf life is 24 months under recommended conditions.
