PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a light-yellow to amber viscous liquid or soft paste at 25 °C. It is soluble in water, alcohols and most organic solvents, yielding clear solutions above its cloud point. The product is non-ionic, offers excellent emulsifying, solubilising and wetting power, is virtually odourless, and is well tolerated by skin and mucous membranes。

3.Ámbito de aplicación y uso
PEG-40 is widely used as an emulsifier and solubiliser in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and industrial formulations. It stabilises oil-in-water emulsions, solubilises essential oils and fragrances, and improves the dispersion of hydrophobic actives in aqueous media. Typical cosmetic dosage is 0.5–5 %; in pharmaceutical preparations it serves as a solubiliser for poorly soluble drugs. It is also employed in agrochemical emulsifiable concentrates and metal-working fluids .
4.Embalaje y almacenamiento
Supplied in 190 kg epoxy-lined steel drums or 1 000 kg IBC totes, net weight. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse at 5–35 °C, away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong oxidisers. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent moisture uptake. Shelf life is 24 months from date of manufacture under recommended storage conditions .
