Food-grade propylene glycol is a colorless, transparent, and non-precipitating viscous liquid. It is widely used in the food industry. According to national standards, it is approved as a food additive and is mainly used as a stabilizer, emulsifier, and solvent. It is commonly found in products such as bread and cream. Propylene glycol has good hygroscopicity and antifreeze properties, which can maintain the moisture and freshness of food. Additionally, it can be used in beer processing and the extraction of aroma substances.
- Package and Storage
Iron drum packaging, 215KG per drum; transported as general chemicals; stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire sources and heat sources. It should be stored separately from oxidants and must not be mixed for storage or transportation. Appropriate types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment should be equipped. The storage area should be equipped with emergency handling devices for leakage and suitable containment materials.
五． Safety Protection:
Dipropylene glycol has very low toxicity and causes little irritation to the skin. The oral LD50 for rats is 14.85 ml/kg and it does not absorb through the skin.
