1. Product Property

Food grade disodium hydrogen phosphate appears as white crystalline powder or granules. It is highly soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol. The compound is stable under normal conditions and shows hygroscopic properties. As a buffering agent, it maintains pH between 8.0-11.0 in solutions.

3. Ámbito de aplicación y uso

Disodium hydrogen phosphate serves multiple functions in food processing as an acidity regulator, emulsifier, and stabilizer. It’s commonly used in dairy products, processed cheeses, and meat products to improve texture and water retention. In beverages, it acts as a pH buffer. The compound also finds application in water treatment and detergents. As a food additive (E339ii), it must be used within permitted levels (typically 0.3-0.5% in final products).

4. Embalaje y almacenamiento

The product is typically packaged in 25kg polyethylene-lined woven bags or fiber drums for industrial use. Retail quantities may use sealed HDPE containers. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from moisture and incompatible substances. The packaging should remain tightly sealed to prevent caking due to hygroscopic nature. Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life extends to 24 months. During transportation, protect from rain and moisture. Handle with standard protective equipment as the powder may cause mild irritation to eyes and respiratory system.
