Isobutyl acetate is also known as Acetic Acid Isobutyl Ester. It is the esterification product of acetic acid and 2-butanol. It is a water-white liquid with a gentle fruity ester aroma. It is slightly soluble in water and miscible with ethanol, ether, and other organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers, and hydrocarbons.

3.Ámbito de aplicación y uso

Isobutyl acetate has the aroma of apples and raspberries. It is often used as a fruit flavoring agent and is employed in the formulation of banana, raspberry, pineapple, strawberry, cream, raspberry and pear-flavored flavorings. It is also used as a blending agent for roses.

 

4.Embalaje y almacenamiento

Isobutyl acetate is packaged in 25kg HDPE plastic drums or galvanized iron drums. For food-grade products, it needs to be lined with PE film. It should be stored in a fireproof warehouse (< 25℃), away from fire sources and oxidants, and sealed tightly to prevent evaporation. The shelf life is 24 months.
