Colorless to pale yellow liquid. It has the aroma of rum and pineapple. The boiling point is 137 – 138℃, and the freezing point is -71.4℃. It is highly soluble in ethanol and ether, but insoluble in water.

3.Ámbito de aplicación y uso
It is commonly used as an edible spice, mainly for preparing rum, strawberry and other fruit-based essences. It can also be used as a solvent for paints and an intermediate in organic synthesis.
4.Embalaje y almacenamiento
Isobutyl propionate is packaged in 25kg aluminum drums or HDPE plastic drums (protected by nitrogen). It is lined with food-grade PE film. It should be stored in a cool and ventilated place (< 25℃), away from fire sources and oxidants. The shelf life is 24 months. After opening, it is recommended to be used within 6 months.
