Methyl Lactate is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight sweet fragrance. Its boiling point ranges from 144 to 145℃, and its density is 1.085 – 1.095 g/cm³ at 20℃. The flash point is 49℃ (flammable), and it is miscible with water and ethanol.

3.Ámbito de aplicación y uso
Methyl lactate, as a food processing additive (not a direct additive), is mainly used as a food processing solvent (such as in the extraction of flavorings), a baking release agent, and a candy polishing agent.
4.Embalaje y almacenamiento
Methyl Lactate is packaged in 25kg HDPE plastic drums or galvanized iron drums. It should be stored in a cool and ventilated place (< 25℃), away from fire sources and oxidants (flammable liquid, flash point 49℃). The shelf life is 24 months.
