Los PEG de menor peso molecular (PEG200-PEG600) se emplean habitualmente como disolventes, excipientes en formulaciones l\u00edquidas y humectantes en productos de cuidado personal. Los PEG de rango medio (PEG800-PEG2000) sirven como espesantes, suavizantes y bases para pomadas y cremas. Los PEG de mayor peso molecular (PEG3000-PEG8000) se utilizan como aglutinantes en comprimidos, lubricantes en procesos industriales y componentes en formas farmac\u00e9uticas s\u00f3lidas, debido a su consistencia cerosa y estabilidad.
