El \u00e1cido benzoico es una importante materia prima qu\u00edmica e intermediario en las reacciones qu\u00edmicas. Se utiliza principalmente para preparar \u00e1cido benzoico s\u00f3dico como conservante, y tambi\u00e9n se emplea en la s\u00edntesis de f\u00e1rmacos, colorantes y para la producci\u00f3n de plastificantes, mordientes, fungicidas y fragancias, etc. La estructura qu\u00edmica del \u00e1cido benzoico contiene grupos carboxilo y un anillo benc\u00e9nico. Puede someterse a reacciones como la neutralizaci\u00f3n, la formaci\u00f3n de sales y la esterificaci\u00f3n, y tambi\u00e9n a reacciones de ortosustituci\u00f3n en el anillo benc\u00e9nico. El \u00e1cido benzoico es un conservante alimentario de uso com\u00fan, ampliamente empleado en bebidas, salsas y productos encurtidos para inhibir el crecimiento de moho y bacterias. En el campo de la medicina, se utiliza como desinfectante e ingrediente de medicamentos t\u00f3picos. Tambi\u00e9n se utiliza como materia prima qu\u00edmica para la producci\u00f3n de fragancias, tintes y plastificantes pl\u00e1sticos.<\/p>\n

4.Embalaje y almacenamiento<\/h4>\n

El \u00e1cido benzoico se envasa en bolsas de papel kraft de 25 kg forradas con pel\u00edcula de PE o bidones de fibra. Debe almacenarse en un lugar fresco y seco (<30\u2103), sellado para evitar la humedad y alejado de oxidantes y \u00e1cidos fuertes.
