La dietanolamina es un l\u00edquido viscoso incoloro o un s\u00f3lido cristalino con propiedades alcalinas. Es higrosc\u00f3pica y soluble en agua y etanol, pero poco soluble en benceno y \u00e9ter. Puede absorber gases como el CO\u2082 y el H\u2082S del aire.<\/p>\n

La dietanolamina se utiliza ampliamente como absorbente de gases \u00e1cidos como el CO\u2082, el H\u2082S y el SO\u2082. Sirve como materia prima para la s\u00edntesis de herbicidas como el glifosato y se emplea en la formulaci\u00f3n de tensioactivos no i\u00f3nicos, emulgentes y lubricantes. Tambi\u00e9n se emplea en la purificaci\u00f3n de gases industriales y como intermediario en la s\u00edntesis org\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n

4.Embalaje y almacenamiento<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

La dietanolamina suele envasarse en bidones de acero de 200 litros o en contenedores a granel. Debe almacenarse en recipientes herm\u00e9ticos en un entorno seco, fresco y sin luz para evitar la absorci\u00f3n de humedad y la degradaci\u00f3n. Se transporta como un producto qu\u00edmico general y debe manipularse con cuidado para evitar su exposici\u00f3n al aire y a la luz.<\/p>\n
