El tetrahidrofurano (THF) es un\u00a0l\u00edquido incoloro, vol\u00e1til<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0con un\u00a0olor acre similar al \u00e9ter<\/b><\/strong>. 3. \u00c1mbito de aplicaci\u00f3n y uso<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

El tetrahidrofurano es un disolvente vers\u00e1til ampliamente utilizado en la producci\u00f3n de pol\u00edmeros como el politetrametilenglicol (PTMEG), un componente clave en las fibras de spandex. Tambi\u00e9n se emplea en s\u00edntesis farmac\u00e9uticas, agroqu\u00edmicas y como medio de reacci\u00f3n en reacciones de Grignard y organomet\u00e1licas. En la industria de revestimientos y adhesivos, el THF se valora por su gran solvencia y r\u00e1pida velocidad de evaporaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, se utiliza en la extracci\u00f3n de ingredientes farmac\u00e9uticos activos y en la formulaci\u00f3n de especialidades qu\u00edmicas.<\/p>\n

4. Embalaje y almacenamiento<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

El THF debe almacenarse en recipientes herm\u00e9ticamente cerrados y resistentes a la luz, de acero inoxidable, aluminio o vidrio, bajo una atm\u00f3sfera inerte como el nitr\u00f3geno para evitar la formaci\u00f3n de per\u00f3xido. Normalmente se envasa en bidones, IBC o tanques ISO. Las zonas de almacenamiento deben ser frescas, secas, estar bien ventiladas y alejadas de fuentes de ignici\u00f3n. Los contenedores deben mantenerse alejados de agentes oxidantes, \u00e1cidos y luz.
