Es un ingrediente clave en las f\u00f3rmulas de anticongelantes y refrigerantes, fluidos hidr\u00e1ulicos y sistemas de transferencia de calor. En la industria qu\u00edmica, act\u00faa como disolvente para resinas, pinturas, revestimientos y plastificantes. Suele envasarse en bidones de acero o pl\u00e1stico de 200 litros, o en cisternas ISO para el transporte a granel.
