Ethyl L-Lactate is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature, with a volatile odor similar to that of wine. The industrial product often has the odor of ethyl butyrate. Its density is approximately 1.05 g/cm³, the boiling point is 154.5℃, the flash point is 54.6℃, and it is easily soluble in ethanol and ether, and miscible with water.

3. Champ d'application et utilisation
Ethyl L-Lactate is a safe and non-toxic natural ester compound. It is widely used as a food flavoring agent (FEMA 2440, for fruit flavoring in candies, dairy products and beverages), a pharmaceutical solvent (in line with USP/EP standards, for drug carriers and topical preparations), a cosmetic additive (for perfumes, skin care products), and an environmental-friendly industrial solvent (for inks, paints, electronic cleaning).
4. l'emballage et le stockage
Ethyl L-Lactate is packaged in 25kg dark HDPE drums or stainless steel drums with a food-grade inner PE film liner. It should be stored in a cool, dark place (< 25℃), tightly sealed to prevent moisture and oxidation, and kept away from fire sources and strong acids. The shelf life is 24 months.
