Hexanoic acid is an organic compound. It is a colorless liquid that does not dissolve in water. It can be mixed with organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, chloroform, and benzene. Hexanoic Acid is an important organic acid, mainly used in food flavors (for blending cheese, fruit flavors, FEMA 2559), pharmaceutical intermediates (for drug synthesis), feed additives (for preservation and growth promotion), and industrial fields (lubricants, rubber processing additives). Its unique fatty acid properties make it a multi-functional raw material in the food, agriculture and chemical industries.

 

4. l'emballage et le stockage

Hexanoic acid is packaged in 25kg HDPE plastic drums or aluminum drums. For food-grade products, nitrogen must be filled for protection. It should be stored in a cool, dark place (< 25℃), sealed tightly to prevent oxidation, and kept away from alkalis and oxidants. Ventilation is required during operation (due to the pungent odor), and the shelf life is 24 months.
