It is a cationic surfactant. It is easily soluble in water, acetone, butanol, benzene, chloroform, dimethylformamide, dioxane, ethylene glycol, methyl (ethyl or butyl), cellulose solvents, acetic acid and water at room temperature. It can also be dissolved in carbon tetrachloride, dichloroethane, styrene, etc. at 50℃.

It is stable at 5% dilute acid and dilute alkali. It will decompose when the temperature rises above 180℃.

It can be mixed with cationic and non-ionic surfactants, but should not be used in the same bath as anionic surfactants.

三．Application scope and Usage

It is suitable for eliminating static electricity in the spinning process of synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon and chlor纶， and has excellent anti-static effect. The anti-static agent SN can be used alone or mixed with other oil agents and emulsifiers without anionic surfactants to form an aqueous solution. When the fiber bundles pass through the above-mentioned emulsion， the static electricity can be eliminated. The dosage is generally 0.2 – 0.5% of the fiber weight.

Can be used as a leveling agent for polyacrylonitrile.

In the plastic industry, eliminating static electricity from plastic products can be used as an anti-static agent for polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene films and plastic products. Dissolve the anti-static agent SN in an appropriate solvent, mix it with a small amount of plastic powder, dry it, and then add this material to all the plastic powder. Process it according to normal procedures. The recommended dosage is generally 0.5 to 2% of the plastic weight.
