1.Product Property
Formaldehyde solution is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow liquid with a pungent, suffocating odor. Aqueous grades usually contain 37 % formaldehyde and 10–15 % methanol as stabilizer. It is miscible with water and most polar solvents; boiling range 96–100 °C, flash point 64 °C (closed cup), density 1.08 g cm⁻³ at 20 °C.

3.Application Scope and Usage
Formaldehyde solution is a versatile building block for resins such as urea-, phenol- and melamine-formaldehyde used in wood panels, laminates, coatings and adhesives. It serves as a disinfectant and preservative in healthcare, cosmetics and household products, and is an intermediate for 1,4-butanediol, pentaerythritol, hexamine and chelating agents in water treatment.
4.Package and Storage
Formaldehyde solution is supplied in 25 kg HDPE carboys, 200 kg HDPE drums or 1000 L composite IBCs. Bulk shipments use 20–25 t stainless-steel tankers lined with epoxy resin. Store in cool, ventilated areas below 25 °C away from oxidizers, acids and ignition sources. Keep containers tightly closed and protected from frost and direct sunlight to prevent polymerization and formaldehyde loss.
