L'ac\u00e9tate d'\u00e9thyle est l'un des esters d'acide gras les plus utilis\u00e9s. C'est un solvant \u00e0 s\u00e9chage rapide qui pr\u00e9sente une excellente solubilit\u00e9 et constitue un excellent solvant industriel. Il peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme \u00e9luant dans la chromatographie sur colonne. Il peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour la nitrocellulose, l'\u00e9thylcellulose, le caoutchouc chlor\u00e9 et les r\u00e9sines vinyliques, les esters d'ac\u00e9tate de cellulose, l'ac\u00e9tate de cellulose et de butyle et le caoutchouc synth\u00e9tique. Il peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme encre liquide nitrocellulosique pour les photocopieurs. Il peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme solvant pour les adh\u00e9sifs et comme diluant pour la peinture. Des quantit\u00e9s plus faibles sont disponibles dans des bidons HDPE de 20 L approuv\u00e9s par l'ONU. De plus petites quantit\u00e9s sont disponibles dans des bidons HDPE de 20 L approuv\u00e9s par l'ONU. Stocker dans un endroit frais et bien ventil\u00e9, \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 30 \u00b0C, \u00e0 l'\u00e9cart des oxydants, des acides et des sources d'inflammation.
