L'isobutanol est un solvant polyvalent pour les laques nitrocellulosiques, les r\u00e9sines alkydes et les rev\u00eatements amin\u00e9s, offrant une bonne r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l'\u00e9coulement et \u00e0 l'\u00e9blouissement. Il est hydrog\u00e9n\u00e9 en ac\u00e9tate d'isobutyle pour les esters de puissance \u00e0 haut pouvoir solvant, d\u00e9shydrat\u00e9 en isobutyl\u00e8ne pour les produits chimiques pour le caoutchouc, et utilis\u00e9 comme interm\u00e9diaire pour les plastifiants, les produits pharmaceutiques et les produits agricoles. Dans les cosm\u00e9tiques, il sert de diluant de parfum et de solvant d'extraction.<\/p>\n
