PMA is a colorless, volatile liquid with a mild ester-like odor. It exhibits excellent solubility in water and most organic solvents, with a boiling point of 146°C and low viscosity. Its low surface tension makes it ideal for coating applications.

PMA is widely used as a solvent in paints, coatings, and inks due to its effective resin dissolution and slow evaporation rate. It serves as a key component in photoresist formulations for semiconductor and display manufacturing. In electronics, it cleans circuit boards and removes fluxes. The adhesive industry utilizes it for polyurethane and epoxy systems. Additionally, it functions as a coalescing agent in latex paints and a carrier solvent for dyes. Safe handling requires adequate ventilation to minimize inhalation exposure.
4.パッケージと保管
PMA is typically packaged in 200L steel drums or 1,000L IBC totes with polyethylene liners. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and ignition sources. Containers must be tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and volatilization. Shelf life exceeds 24 months when stored below 30°C. Transport as a flammable liquid (UN 1993) with proper hazard labeling. Use grounded equipment during transfer to avoid static discharge. Personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) is mandatory during handling.
