PBTCA•Na4 can be used as a scale inhibitor, an efficient chelating agent, and an excellent BaSO4 scale inhibitor. DTPMP•Na7 is widely used in cooling water treatment, a stabilizer for peroxide bleaching, a detergent aid, municipal and industrial clean water for use, hot water treatment for geothermal sources, and scale inhibitor for oil fields. It is widely applied in the building materials industry as a concrete retarder.
