Acetal is a type of acetal compound formed by the condensation reaction of ethanol and acetaldehyde. It is a colorless volatile liquid at room temperature and has a pleasant aroma of nuts and green fruits.

3.Application scope and Usage

Acetal is an ether compound with a fresh fruity aroma. It is mainly used as a food flavoring agent, an additive for alcoholic beverages (to enhance the fruity flavor), a fragrance in cosmetics (perfume, soap fragrances), and an industrial solvent (for resins, paints).

 

4.Package and Storage

Acetal is sealed in 25kg aluminum or stainless steel drums. For food-grade products, it needs to be protected by nitrogen. Store in a cool and ventilated place (<25℃), away from fire sources and oxidants. Keep tightly sealed to prevent evaporation (flammable liquid). The shelf life is 24 months.
