CAS: 68439-39-4
Alias: OEP-70, Alkali-stable wetting agent, Phosphate-ester penetrant
Molecular formula:C10H23O5P
1.Product Property
OEP-70 is a viscous, pale-yellow to amber liquid that dissolves readily in water above 40 °C. It withstands >200 g L⁻¹ NaOH, 30 % H₂O₂ and high temperatures without hydrolysis. The product offers rapid wetting (<5 s in 150 g L⁻¹ NaOH at 60 °C), low foam, excellent emulsification and dispersion of oils and pigments, and stabilises hydrogen peroxide in bleaching baths.
2.Technical Norm
Parameter | Specification |
Appearance (25 °C) | Pale-yellow to amber viscous liquid |
pH (1 % aq.) | 6.0–8.0 |
Penetration (1 %, 150 g L⁻¹ NaOH, 60 °C) | ≤ 5 s |
Alkali resistance | Stable in 200 g L⁻¹ NaOH, 24 h |
Active content | 68–72 % |
Water content | ≤ 1 % |
Phosphate content (as P₂O₅) | 6–8 % |
3.Application Scope and Usage
OEP-70 is the key ingredient in preparation of high-alkali scouring agents, mercerising penetrants and one-bath desize-scour-bleach formulations for cotton and blends. It is blended into detergents, degreasers and emulsifiers for metal cleaning, leather degreasing and industrial hard-surface cleaners. Typical dosage: 2–8 % in alkaline scours, 1–3 % in emulsifiable concentrates. Heat to 40 °C to dissolve before blending with other auxiliaries.
4.Package and Storage
Supplied in 50 kg new HDPE drums (Ø 380 × 480 mm) with screw cap and tamper seal. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse at 5–35 °C, away from strong acids and oxidisers. Keep containers tightly closed; avoid temperatures below 5 °C to prevent crystallisation. Shelf life: 24 months from manufacture under recommended conditions.
