Ethyl acetate is a colorless, fragrant liquid with a fruity pear-like odor. It is highly volatile, miscible with most organic solvents and partially soluble in water (8.3 % at 20 °C). Boiling point 77 °C, density 0.902 g cm⁻³ at 20 °C, flash point –4 °C; vapors form explosive mixtures with air.

3.Application Scope and Usage
Ethyl acetate is one of the most widely used fatty acid esters. It is a fast-drying solvent with excellent solubility and is an excellent industrial solvent. It can also be used as an eluent in column chromatography. It can be used for nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, chlorinated rubber and vinyl resins, cellulose acetate esters, cellulose butyl acetate and synthetic rubber. It can also be used as the liquid nitrocellulose ink for photocopiers. It can be used as a solvent for adhesives and a diluent for painting. Ethyl acetate is a highly efficient solvent for many types of resins and is widely used in ink production and artificial leather manufacturing. It is used as an analytical reagent, a standard substance for chromatographic analysis and a solvent.
4.Package and Storage
Ethyl acetate is supplied in 180 kg epoxy-coated steel drums, 20 m³ ISO tank containers, or 1000 L IBC totes. Smaller quantities are available in 20 L UN-approved HDPE cans. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area below 30 °C, away from oxidizers, acids and ignition sources. Keep containers tightly closed and electrically grounded during transfer to prevent static discharge and maintain product quality.
