Colorless to slightly yellow oily liquid. It has a sweet aroma reminiscent of peaches, coconuts, and oatmeal bread. Boiling point: 234℃. Flash point: >100℃. Soluble in ethanol and oils, slightly soluble in water, and hardly soluble in propylene glycol.

3.Application scope and Usage
Suitable for heavy floral scents such as gardenia, ylang-ylang, hyacinth, and even lily scents. It can also be used as a modifier or a substitute for coumarins, and is used in fragrances of jasmine, lavender and herbal types. It can also be used in edible fragrance types such as coconut, nuts, cream, patchouli beans, cheese caramel, rum, etc.
4.Package and Storage
Gamma Octalactone is packaged in 25kg aluminum drums (filled with nitrogen) or brown glass bottles with a food-grade inner PE film lining. It should be stored in a dark place at a temperature not exceeding 20℃. After opening, it needs to be protected by nitrogen and used within 3 months. The shelf life is 18 months.
