1. Product Property

Potassium sorbate is mainly used as a food preservative, and is also applied in cosmetic preservation and feed mold prevention, etc. It has a strong inhibitory effect on putrefactive bacteria and mold, and is also highly soluble in water, thus being widely applied. Its antibacterial growth effect is stronger than its bactericidal effect. The lower the PH value, the stronger the antibacterial effect.

3、Application scope and Usage

Sorbate (potassium) can effectively inhibit the activity of mold, yeast and aerobic bacteria, and also prevent the growth and reproduction of harmful microorganisms such as botulinum, Staphylococcus and Salmonella. However, it is almost ineffective against beneficial microorganisms such as anaerobic spore-forming bacteria and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Its inhibitory effect on development is stronger than its bactericidal effect, thereby effectively extending the shelf life of food. And maintain the original flavor of the food.
