一.Product Property:
Colorless transparent crystals or granular crystalline powder, with a slight special odor. The anhydrous salt is colorless crystals and has hygroscopic properties. It dissolves in water and ethanol, with a solubility of approximately 100 in 10% water at 15℃, and a pH value ranging from 8.5 to 10.5. It has a wide range of antibacterial effects against molds, yeasts, and bacteria, being most active at acidic pH levels. It is used as a food preservative, suitable for use as a preservative in pastries and as a bread anti-mildew agent. Sodium propionate has almost no toxicity to the human body. The dosage in food is the same as that of calcium propionate (based on propionic acid). The maximum allowable concentration in cosmetics is 2% (based on propionic acid). It is produced by neutralizing with sodium hydroxide using propionic acid as the raw material.

三.Application scope and Usage:
In the food industry, sodium propionate is widely used in baked goods (such as bread, cakes, cookies, etc.) for preservation and freshness maintenance. It can effectively inhibit the growth of molds and certain bacteria, thereby extending the shelf life of the products. It is also commonly used as a preservative in dairy products (such as cheese), meat products, condiments and beverages.
四.Package and Storage:
This product should be packed in double-layer moisture-proof packaging. The inner layer is a food-grade polyethylene plastic bag, and the outer layer is a kraft paper bag or a paper-plastic composite bag. The standard size is 25kg per bag. At the same time, we can also provide 1-5kg small packages according to customer requirements.
When storing, it should be placed in a dedicated warehouse that is cool and dry, with the environmental temperature maintained between 15 and 25℃, and the relative humidity not exceeding 60%. Avoid direct sunlight. The goods should be stacked on pallets, at least 30cm away from the ground and the walls. The stacking height should not exceed 5 layers, and it is strictly prohibited to store together with acidic substances, oxidants, etc.
