【Structural Formula】
1. Product Property
Sodium saccharin is a white crystalline powder or colorless crystals with intensely sweet taste (300-500 times sweeter than sucrose). It is highly soluble in water (1g/1.5ml) but only slightly soluble in alcohol. The compound is heat-stable and non-caloric, making it suitable for dietetic products. It has good stability under normal processing conditions but may impart slight metallic aftertaste at high concentrations.

3. Application Scope and Usage
Sodium saccharin is widely used as an artificial sweetener in beverages, tabletop sweeteners, and processed foods where sugar reduction is desired. Common applications include diet soft drinks, chewing gum, baked goods, and canned fruits. It is particularly valuable in diabetic foods and oral hygiene products. The typical usage level ranges from 0.01% to 0.02% in beverages.
4. Package and Storage
The product is typically packaged in 25kg fiber drums with polyethylene liners or 50lb multi-wall paper bags. Storage should be in cool, dry conditions below 30°C with relative humidity below 80%. Containers must be kept tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption. Under proper storage, the shelf life is 36 months for anhydrous form and 24 months for dihydrate. The material is stable but should be protected from direct sunlight and strong oxidizing agents.
