一．Product Property
Food-grade silica is a fine white powder or particle with a purity usually exceeding 99%, and it has an amorphous (non-crystalline) structure, ensuring its safety. Silica is insoluble in water and organic solvents and has a high melting point (about 1600°C), making it suitable for processing high-temperature foods. Depending on the type (gas-phase method, precipitation method, or gelation method), its specific surface area ranges from 50 to 400 m²/g, and the pH value of a 5% suspension is between 3.5 and 7.5. Due to its high adsorption capacity and low density (0.1 – 0.3 g/cm³), it is often used as an anti-caking agent, carrier, or stabilizer.

三．Application scope and Usage
LH-101 has a high oil absorption value, good dry stability, low addition amount, and is suitable for use in compound powder seasonings with high oil content.
LH-102 is suitable for use in products such as chicken seasoning, coffee, and flavoring powders that contain oils and are made up of various ingredients.
LH-104 is suitable for use in solid beverages, pearl milk teas, vegetable fat emulsions, etc., and has good dispersion properties.
LH-105 liquid-type anti-settling agent, suitable for salty flavorings with low stirring speed. It is easy to disperse, causes little dust, and has no white spots.
The LH-106 has a good taste and is suitable for powder-based health drinks.
LH-267 is suitable for oily compound seasonings, with strong oil absorption and good fluidity (as an alternative to Evonik Taiwan’s Lin’an Dongtai DT 267);
LH-280 is a high-purity nano-sized silica with good fluidity. The silica content is ≥ 99.3%, making it suitable for adding to cosmetics and pharmaceutical powders.
LH-280S is used as a defoamer for sauce-based liquid seasonings or beverages.
LH-380 (colorless anti-oxidant) is used as the carrier. It has a high oil absorption capacity with a low dosage, good stability and no color change (replacing the French Rodia T38);
四．Package and Storage

Food-grade silica should be stored in a cool and dry environment, with a temperature controlled between 15 and 25°C and a relative humidity lower than 50%. This is to prevent moisture absorption and clumping. The packaging should use sealed high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bags or containers to ensure moisture-proofing. The storage area should maintain good ventilation and avoid contact with strong alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide) or fluorides. Under the correct storage conditions, the shelf life of silica is almost unlimited, but the packaging integrity should be checked regularly.
五.Safety Protection:
Silicon dioxide has relatively low toxicity, but still requires proper protection. Inhaling its dust may cause mild irritation to the respiratory tract. Therefore, it is recommended to wear an N95 mask when handling the powder and operate in a well-ventilated environment. Contact with the eyes may cause mechanical irritation, and immediate rinsing with clean water for 15 minutes is necessary. Skin contact usually does not cause irritation, but long-term exposure may lead to dry skin. It is recommended to wear nitrile gloves and lab coats. Consuming a small amount of silicon dioxide accidentally is generally harmless, but rinsing the mouth and drinking water to dilute it is necessary.
