Structural formula:

1.Product Property

Sodium carbonate, also known as soda ash or baking soda powder, is a white powdery inorganic compound (chemical formula: Na₂CO₃). It is widely used in glass manufacturing, chemical production, detergent production and food processing (as an acid regulator, E500). Its high alkalinity and cleaning ability make it an important raw material for industrial cleaning and water treatment. It is stable at room temperature and readily soluble in water.

3.Application scope and Usage

Sodium Carbonate (Soda Ash) is widely used in glass manufacturing (50% global demand), detergents & chemicals production, water treatment (pH adjustment), and food processing (as leavening agent E500). It also serves in metallurgy, textile processing, and flue gas desulfurization due to its strong alkalinity and cost-effectiveness.

4.Package and Storage

Sodium Carbonate is packed in 25kg/50kg moisture-proof woven PP bags with PE liner (food grade uses double-layer protection). Store in dry, ventilated warehouses below 30°C, away from acids and moisture. Shelf life: 12 months.
