1. Product Property

It is a white crystalline powder or granular solid, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in acetone. It has a neutral to slightly alkaline pH in aqueous solution, is odorless, and has good thermal stability but decomposes at high temperatures to release ammonia.

2、

Parameter Specification (Food Grade)
Assay [(NH₄)₂HPO₄] ≥ 99.0%
P₂O₅ Content ≥ 53.0%
Nitrogen (N) Content ≥ 20.8%
pH (10 g/L solution) 7.6–8.2
Moisture ≤ 0.2%
Water Insolubles ≤ 0.1%
Heavy Metals (Pb) ≤ 0.001% (10 ppm)
Arsenic (As) ≤ 0.0003% (3 ppm)
Fluoride (F) ≤ 0.001%

3. Application Scope and Usage

It is used as a food additive, functioning as a leavening agent, nutrient fortifier, pH regulator, and emulsifier in baked goods, dairy products, meat products, and beverages. It provides phosphorus and nitrogen for nutritional supplementation, improves texture in processed foods, and adjusts acidity to enhance product stability, with usage levels typically ranging from 0.1% to 2% depending on food type.

4. Package and Storage

Food-grade DAP is typically packed in 25 kg polyethylene-lined woven bags or sealed HDPE containers to prevent moisture absorption. Storage should be in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from acids and humidity. Prolonged exposure to air causes ammonia loss, reducing product quality. Avoid contact with metals to prevent corrosion. Shelf life is 24 months under optimal conditions. Transport as a non-hazardous material, but ensure containers are intact to avoid leaks. Workers should use gloves and goggles when handling due to potential skin/eye irritation。
