【CAS】64-19-7
Alias: Acetic acid (solid); Food-grade acid; Anhydrous acetic acid; Anhydrous acetic acid
Molecular formula: C2H4O2 Relative molecular mass: 60.05 Structural formula:
1.Product Property
Glacial Acetic Acid is a highly pure form of acetic acid (with the chemical formula CH₃COOH) with a concentration of ≥ 99.8%. It is a colorless and transparent liquid with a pungent sour smell. It is widely used in the food industry (as an acidity regulator E260), pharmaceutical synthesis (as a raw material for aspirin), textile printing and dyeing, and chemical production (such as PTA, vinyl acetate, etc.).

3.Application scope and Usage
Acetic acid, as an important organic compound, is widely used in various industries such as food, medicine, dyes, and plastics. In the food industry, acetic acid is used as a flavoring agent, preservative, etc. In the pharmaceutical industry, acetic acid is used as a raw material for drugs, disinfectant, etc. In the dye and plastic industries, acetic acid is used as a solvent and raw material.
4.Package and Storage
Acetic acid is packaged in 25kg or 250kg HDPE plastic drums or IBC tote. For food-grade products, a protective coating inner liner is required. Store in a cool and ventilated place (<30℃), away from oxidants/metal, and avoid direct sunlight. Highly corrosive. Protective equipment must be worn during handling. Shelf life: 24 months.
