Molecular formula: C2H3N Relative molecular mass: 41.05
Structural formula:
1.Product Property
Acetonitrile, abbreviated as ACN, is the simplest organic nitrile. It is also commonly known as methanecyanide and methyl nitrile. At room temperature, it is a colorless transparent liquid, highly volatile, with a special odor similar to ether, flammable, and when burned, it produces a bright flame. It is miscible with water, methanol, carbon tetrachloride, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, dichloroethane, and many unsaturated hydrocarbon solvents. It is toxic and can be metabolized into hydrogen cyanide and thiocyanic acid.

3.Application scope and Usage
It has excellent solvent properties and can dissolve various organic, inorganic and gaseous substances. It is infinitely miscible with water and alcohols. Acetonitrile can undergo typical acylative reactions and is used to prepare many typical nitrogen-containing compounds, making it an important organic intermediate.
4.Package and Storage
This product is packaged in iron drums. The storage location should be a cool and well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire sources and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃ and direct sunlight should be avoided. Special attention should be paid to ensuring the packaging is intact to prevent leakage and poisoning.
