3.Application scope and Usage
It is commonly used as a modifier for coumarins in perfumes, such as in lavender, chamomile, and scented types using oakmoss as a sweetener. It is widely used in edible perfumes in creams, honey scents, vanilla beans, caramel, fruit aroma compound, and tobacco perfumes. It is resistant to oxides, moisture, alcohol, and amines. It is often used in baked goods, puddings, and beverages.
4.Package and Storage
γ-Hexanone is packaged in 25kg aluminum drums or brown glass bottles (protected by nitrogen). It is lined with food-grade PE film. It should be stored in a cool, dark place (< 25℃), and sealed tightly to prevent oxidation. The shelf life is 18 months. After opening, it is recommended to be used within 6 months.
