1、Product Property
Monoglyceride with a content of 90%(or more) is a white powder or small cylindrical solid, which is refined by esterifying refined hydrogenated palm oil with top-grade glycerides and then refined through multi-stage molecular distillation. Monoglyceride is insoluble in water but soluble in alcohol, benzene and acetone. It can self-emulsify with hot water after intense oscillation to form a stable hydrated dispersion. The HLB value of monoglycerides with a content of 90% (or above) is 3.9-5.3. It belongs to multi-purpose emulsifiers and is an internationally recognized safe food additive with no dosage limit in the FDA.

3. Application Scope and Usage
Mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids exhibit versatile functional properties including emulsification, dispersion, stabilization, defoaming, antistatic effects, film-forming, and starch anti-aging capabilities. In food applications, they serve as emulsifiers and stabilizers in ice cream, dairy products, baked goods, and meat products, while also preventing starch retrogradation. The additives function as high-quality emulsifiers and dispersants in edible oils, margarine, and fruit coating preservatives. For industrial uses, they act as non-toxic plasticizers and anti-aging agents in plastic processing (EPE/PVC), enhancing flexibility and antistatic properties. Additionally, they are widely utilized in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals to improve dispersion stability and formulation consistency in creams, ointments, and other preparations.
4. Package and Storage
The product is typically packaged in 25 kg polyethylene-lined woven bags or 50 lb multi-wall paper bags with plastic liners. Storage should be in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from moisture and incompatible materials. Containers must be kept tightly sealed to prevent absorption of atmospheric moisture. Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 24 months.
